Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center and ijVENUES agree terms to enter the RendezVerse development program, thus leading the way in the modernisation of the meeting and events industry.
Technology is moving at an unprecedented level and RendezVerse is leading that charge in the hospitality sector. RendezVerse delivers a world in which pre-event site inspection travel is significantly reduced. Buyers and venue sales teams will be able to meet inside the venue’s digital twin and ‘feel’ the presence of the other party in a way not possible with current solutions.
With inevitable progression ahead, The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center and ijVENUES will join RendezVerse’s growing community of hotels, venues and buyers in an effort to save our most valuable assets; time, money and the planet.
RendezVerse will allow clients to be virtually present as they showcase or discover exact replicas of venues or bespoke meeting places and eventually events. What’s more, with years of experience and an expansive directory of buyers RendezVerse will facilitate connections with venues for increased production for all.
It’s now a case of when venues will make the shift into the future. Digital twins will be staple for any venue and first adopters will be one step ahead. The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center and ijVENUES are the latest exciting addition to a string of high profile properties to join the RV Development Project and as such will not be left behind.
Spectacular views over the city and vistas over the river IJ are just some of the highlights at Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center, just 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport. Natural daylight and free WiFi are the hallmarks of the 11 flexible state-of-the-art meeting rooms and have even hosted King Willem Alexander of The Netherlands.
Further to that the ijVENUES waterfront venue can host events and conferences up to 1,900 delegates, with modern spaces including an epic auditorium. Many of the meeting rooms bathe in daylight, often with views over the river IJ.
The partnership will bring The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center and ijVENUES to virtual life allowing event planners to not only visit all aspects of the venue but also plan their bespoke concept to the most finite detail from decor and menus to presentation formats and schedules, all from the comfort of their own desk. They will also be visible to over 60,000 meeting and event buyers throughout the world.
RendezVerse COO , Mark Brown said; “It’s an honour to be working with both Mövenpick and ijVenues. This is our first joint collaboration and gives us more scope with which to develop our platform. The partnership between the two businesses is further evidence that major venues can see the value of investing in VR technology that makes them more productive and lowers their carbon footprint. As such this is a partnership based on a shared vision and we can’t wait to see the results.”
