RendezVerse joins the Metaverse Standards Forum

RendezVerse is delighted to have been accepted to join the Metaverse Standards Forum to support the development of interoperability standards in an open and inclusive metaverse.

The mission of the Metaverse Standards Forum is to standardise access to proven technologies in the metaverse stack and create opportunities by removing market friction to ensure the metaverse is accessible to all.

This interoperability aligns with RendezVerse’s vision for the future of marketing, booking and even experiencing hotels in a fully immersive virtual reality, through the creation of true-to-life digital twins.

RendezVerse joins major tech players in the Metaverse Standards Forum including Microsoft, Adobe, Sony, and Apple, and will provide input on requirements to help steer metaverse standardisation activities.

Peter Gould, RendezVerse CEO, comments:

“As the metaverse community comes together, it becomes clear that the metaverse should not be disregarded by businesses as a gimmick or game. Better interoperability will ensure the metaverse becomes the next iteration of the World Wide Web, allowing for better connections and the freedom to explore multiple metaverses via virtual reality.”

Participation in the forum follows RendezVerse’s recent appointment of Metaverse specialist Michael Cohen as the business’ US Strategic Advisor, who adds:

“Our aim is to make the adoption of Web3 technologies as easy as possible for the hospitality industry. Organisations such as the Metaverse Standards Forum will be integral to building trust and accessibility, unlocking the huge potential the metaverse holds.”

Iconic hotels worldwide, including Atlantis Palm Dubai, Madrid Marriot Auditorium, and Intercontinental Paris le Grand, are already working with RendezVerse’s Web3 solutions and realising the metaverse’s potential by facilitating virtual site visits, transporting clients to incredible venues across the world without the associated time, cost and environmental impact.
